Since 1992, his shoes have this vixen-ish shiny, red-lacquered soles that have become his trademark.
"If you like high heels, it's really the ultimate high heel - it's all about the legs, how they carry themselves, the embellishment of the body. They are the ultimate icons."
Louboutin gained inspiration for his skyscraper heels from an incident at a museum. He saw that there was a sign which forbade women to enter while wearing sharp stilettos, for fear of damage to the extensive wood flooring. He later used this idea in his designs.

Delish. Such a rich azure blue, sets off an otherwise drab outfit with a burst of color! ugh, i must.
Now this design is just so joyous to me. Perfect for a holiday party, jewel toned one-shoulder number, or maybe tap into the art-deco pattern and go for flapper stlye. And the shiny metallic? SO into it, especially because a lot of the "metallic" shoes these days look more like dirty, crusty suede, or glamourized trash bags. Not into that.
I GUSH. These just exude romance but also encompass a little restraint, almost puritanical, tapping into the "pilgrim shoe" trend which is so done. Ugh, over it. Here though, the lively color balances the restraint of the laces creating a killer fall bootie.xxo ~ B.
